SCOPE
Present a series of lectures on timber design and engineered joinery as part of annual weekend-long timber frame design class. Conduct full scale load tests on traditional mortise and tenon joinery to illustrate joint behavior and verify joint strength using various wood species, peg sizes and joint configurations.
